And so begins the journey of these two lost soles who are destined to ...。故事圍繞著四年一度召開的決定女王的賭命的武術格鬥會「QUEEN'S BLADE」，美少女們因為各種各樣的理由而參加這個武術格鬥會。。倚靠家产四处游历的无业学者岛村（木村功 饰）偶然间来到一个名叫雪国的地方，在当地的温泉旅馆，他邂逅了19岁的美丽酒女驹子（岩下志麻 饰）。驹子倾慕岛村的才华，岛村却一心寻欢作乐。离开雪国当晚，这两个身份悬殊之人终于结合在一起。
回到东京的岛村对驹子念念不忘，次年，他再次回到雪国。此时的驹子已成为艺妓，她为了医好未婚夫行男的病而努力赚钱。岛村的到来令她的感情世界再起波澜。这两个人，注定一段难解难分的爱恨纠缠……
本片根据日本作家川端康成的同名小说改编。。
