一次偶然中，樊家树结识了名为沈凤喜（袁立 饰）的女子，沈凤喜温婉而又聪慧，很快就吸引了樊家树的注意，随着时间的推移，两人渐渐走到了一起。那边厢，何丽娜一直对樊家树念念不忘，他越是远离何丽娜，何丽娜就越是被其吸引。当得知了樊家树对自己的成见后，何丽娜开始反思和改变，然而樊家树的心中依然只有沈凤喜。不幸的是，军阀刘德柱（傅彪 饰）看上了沈凤喜，不惜一切手段将她弄到手，为了保全樊家树，沈凤喜只能忍痛就范。。
