After investing all his savings to travel with his son to the World Cup, Lucho is shocked when he learns that the Argentine team gets disqualified from the games. He and a handful of his co-workers, a flashy group of losers about to lose their jobs, decide to take "justice into their own hands", so they devise a plan to steal the celebrated World Cup trophy during it...。童年时代家庭四分五裂，长大后与母亲（药师丸博子 饰）关系紧张，整天浪荡社会，惹是生非，无业青年长谷部泰之（二宮和也 饰）好不容易找到一份工作，可是在应聘的前夜却因一场殴斗，逃跑时意外摔伤，导致下半身瘫痪，从此再也无法站立起来，轮椅将成为他毕生的伴侣。新生活还未开始便戛然而止，这令泰之倍感绝望。在心理咨询师南英明（伊势谷友介 饰）、病友以及周遭所有人的鼓励下，泰之积极参加康复训练，并渐渐重拾生活的希望，命运之神重新向他展露笑容……
本片根据心理咨询师长谷川泰三的自传体著作《（生命的咨询）命のカウンセリング》改编。。吉姆是一个推销员，最近却总是有一些倒霉事落到他头上。算命师说他将会有劫难，随着天气逐渐变冷，吉姆越来越害怕另一个预言会实现--在第一场雪落下后，他们的生命也就到了尽头……。
