该片要讲述的是春秋战国时期，秦昭襄王倾慕齐国孟尝君贤能，两度邀请，最后拜其为相国。后来，秦王听信谗言，担心孟尝君“先齐而后秦”，危及秦国社稷安全，于是罢免了孟尝君，并把孟尝君囚禁起来，图谋杀掉孟尝君。孟尝君趁夜色逃离秦国，到函谷关正是半夜。按当时秦国法规，函谷关每天鸡叫才开门，孟尝君凭借“鸡鸣狗盗”才得以顺利逃离函谷关。。Last days of 1941 summer, the era of Obligation, during the famine atmosphere of the Second World War.
