「他人は地獄だ」は、地方から上京してきたユウが、不気味な入居者が暮らすシェアハウス「方舟」への入居をきっかけに、不可解な出来事が発生するサスペンスホラーだ。ヨンキ氏が描いたスリラー漫画の舞台を日本に置き換え、八村はユウ、柳は「方舟」のリーダー的存在のキリシマ、そしてユウの恋人・メグミを岡田が演じる。。故事发生在1957年的法国巴黎，安妮（贝蒂·施奈德 Betty Schneider 饰）在哥哥的带领下参加了一个聚会，在聚会上，她邂逅了特里（弗朗索瓦丝·佩武 Françoise Prévost 饰）和戏剧导演拉杰尔（雅克·德米 Jacques Demy 饰），拉杰尔正在排演一出莎士比亚的戏剧，剧组遭遇了经济困难，为了帮助拉杰尔攻克难关，安妮决定加入剧组。
